What is colon hydrotherapy?Colon hydrotherapy is when the colon gets filtered by warm water which gently is being fused into the colon through the anus. This is done with a plastic tube which is disposable (well, let's face it - who would want a re-used tube...). This procedure is made by a certified professional for safety and a good result. The colon hydrotherapy only cleans the largest intestines, such as the colon. When you use this type of colon cleanser you’ll over time eliminate the toxins in the colon. There are home used systems and these are best used as a compliment to the therapy that’s performed by a professional. This type of colon cleans is also known as colonic irrigation or using colenemas. There are hydrotherapists who claim that colonics will improve the overall wellbeing while other professionals claim that it is good for treating certain specific diseases like chronic fatigue syndrom, rheumatory arthritis, sinusitis et al. The hydrotherapy is also claimed to be inproving on the colon muscle tone and thus leading to more strength in the peristaltic contractions. The established medical research supporting these claims is not a lot and the basis of colon clensing, the idea of auto intoxication is not supported by the traditional medical establishment. The practice of clensing the lower bowel (the colonsystem), is not a new idea. Although not recognized by the traditional health care, it does seem to have many health benefits. You can try it out either by buying a colonic (enema) kit or by consulting a professional colonic hydrotherapist. A colonic irrigation (hydrotherapy) is generally administered by a trained professional, while an enema (colon lavage or clysters) can be self administered as colon clense. The difference lies in that an enema flushes the lower part of the colon while the hydrotherapy tries to clean out the entire five foot long system. The colonic irrigation uses gravity and unlike an enema it does not incorporate the retention of water. So there will be no discomfort and no pressure but rather just a gentle flow of water through the colon. Usually, abdominal massage will be administered simultaneously to encourage the recover of the natural colonic shape. |
